Hi all, did our splits in feb. already got 7 swarms in 10 frame hives and looking good ? i thought. went in the new hives saterday five had no queens, and one nuc was full of magots. the hive about ten feet away weas booming with bees . did the bees leave the dead hive and go to others?thanks to my club i was able to get some queen cells to start over.

hi mike , they were all new splits. with 1 frame honey& 1 of brood. i was hoping they make a queen from eggs on frames. the others seem to be doing wellafter i got queen cells to put in them .have not checked them yet cell were to hatch, sunday 4/24. i will go back in in two weeks to see if queen is there. how long till she starts laying? thank deano
