Hive move advice needed

I am moving a swarm today that swarmed into some empty suppers. They are in two shallows that have tops and are on a solid board with no opening. I have one super cracked a little off the other so they can get in the way they did when they swarmed. They have been in there for a year. I am moving them in my truck about 5 miles. Do I just duct tape and strap the whole thing together to keep all the components together or what? when I get them to the new bee yard I am taking the tops off and putting on a deep with frames and foundation and once the queen moves up will remove the bottom supers. How do I keep the whole thing together during the move?

I always prepare them to move during the day, but actually move them at night so that I get ALL the bees. By moving them during the day you will lose the foragers that were out of the hive at the time you moved it.

They will return to the original location and if there is no hive there, sometimes they make a nuisance of themselves.

If not too many show up at the old location then forget about it and be happy it worked out well. If those old foragers become a nuisance, write in here again and we can give you some ideas on how to deal with them.
