I carry a small flashlight with me to see the bottom of the dark brood frame cells. I need something brighter. And I'd really like a clip on bright LED light for inspections so both hands can hold the frame. Something I can just clip to my pocket and have ready to turn on when needed. I'm looking at some clip on book lights that would clip to my pocket. Anyone use anything like this? A head mounted light would be out of the question with my bee veil hat.
I see a rechargeable book light for $10 : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071K3QQZ4?psc=1
Any other bright ideas??
Thank you.

This is very dangerous!
Bees are naturally attracted to bring (LED) light or the red light too.
Even with a full suit on I'm full of bees attracted to the bright LED miner's light. Use the one I have as
it is bigger and the battery last longer too. It is a 3 AA four phase LED miner's light. It will fit inside your
bee suit pocket nicely. I switch to the high beam when looking inside the worker or queen cells. Good for
reading too on the broad spectrum beam.

Thinking about your use (intermittent use to look for eggs), you could consider a "tactical" style flashlight that has a pressure switch. You could feed the switch into your veil and, as crazy as it sounds, use your teeth to depress the switch to momentarily activate the light to see down into the dark cells. You might have to get creative on how to mount said flashlight, but they do often come with picatinny mounts. Google "picatinny flashlight with pressure switch" to get an idea.

To prevent losing the small flash light you can tie a string on it. Make the string long enough to
put inside your suit pocket. Then tie a safety pin to the other end of the string and pin it onto your
bee suit in front. I use this method to tie a small tweezers for manual mite inspection without losing it.
