A lot of packages, nucs and queens from Chile have been imported into Canada. Nunez is one of the producers and it may be a co operative of a few companies. I needed a few nucs and queens but had heard rumors that those bees were a bit on the hot side but they seemed to be the most available. Figured I would requeen them later when Ontario queens were available.

I was quite pleased when I opened the nucs to see well populated frames with lots of honey and pollen. Queens unmarked but Carni looking; one a bit darker than the other. Nice and quiet on the frames. They are sure foraging hard, early and late, and drawing comb quickly.

I put a sticky sheet under one of them and got zero mite fall over two days! :applause:

I would like to hear other peoples experience with them
