I'm wondering if anyone has any fun "Ya Might Love Beekeeping If..." personal anecdotes that other bee lovers can relate to? Like, "You might love beekeeping if sharing bee facts is your classic go to opener when meeting new people" or "You might love beekeeping if framing has nothing to do with pictures" or "You might love beekeeping if you keep queens in your bedroom drawers once a year"
Or, "You might love bees if..." anecdotes?
Anyone want to add to the list?

You might be a beekeeper if your Sunday-go-to-meetin' clothes are stained with propolis.

YOu might love beekeeping if you go to work with hands swollen from stings, and your coworkers don't see anything unusual about you.

You might love beekeeping if you love showing off the pics of your young grandkids handling frames of bees barehanded.

These are GREAT! I was inspired of some more from This Post about first hives needing to come with a warning label...
You might be a beek if you now see the naivete of thinking you'd only have a couple hives...
You might be a beek if your bees are doing well despite your efforts to help them (Found from user JWPalmer's sig!)
You might be a beek if you know what a Snelgrove board is and will enthusiastically explain it to non beeks at any sign of slight interest.

You might love beekeeping if you've developed anaphylactic reactions to stings and still keep your bees!!!!

Woah! I've not heard of that! You must love your bees! Maybe the title of the thread should be, "You might be addicted to beekeeping if..." Stay safe!

You might love beekeeping if you think it’s a good idea to gift your spouse their own bee suit and hive tool.
Epic fail!:lookout:

… if you enjoy living a holey life.
… if your wife hears you say "look at the legs on that one!" and knows you're watching bee/pollen videos.
… if the police /D.A. call YOU for help.

(and yes to all above)

ya might love beekeeping if... you visit your 13 year old niece for the first time in three years and bring her a book on how to keep bees.

Fortunantly for you, you got your sister's permission first!

your coworkers have learned not to ask how your hives are doing.
you get triggered by combinations and inter-usage of the words "treatment" and "free"
most of your trips to the bee yard include the expression "that escalated quickly"
you know exactly what's in bloom now and will be and how the weather has been and will be
The sight and sound of an issuing swarm is beautiful, breathtaking, heartbreaking, and wondrous all at the same time.
everything you own is sticky

... your full time job has nothing to do with beekeeping, but your boss introduces new employees to you and says, "This is so and so, he's a beekeeper".
