Curious as to how you can tell when your winter brood is bieng made and about when it happens in the northern Rocky Mountain regions. Thanks for your replies

The bees you see now will be gone in 6 weeks' and in 6 weeks you will have completed 2 brood cycles. These bees will be the body of your winter bees. And winter will be right around the corner then,so the next 6weeks of bees are the critical ones' these are the ones you want to be mite free and vigorous going into winter..if you have survivor bees in the spring, it will be became of the bees you raise in the next couple of months,,,,,,no pressure... lol...it's just time to raise the best bees of the year..... Good luck...:)
