I'm planning to build a verona screen and a hive top feeder, will common size window screen work for the screen required in either of these?

when you say a varroa screen I assume you mean a screened bottom board
I think window screen might be to small
I got #8 hardware cloth (1/8" holes) at ACE hardware
you can buy it by the foot pretty cheap

no it won't. It's too fine and the varroa won't go through it. The purpose of the screen is the mites fall down, get trapped under the screen and the bees are above the screen. The mites lay there waiting for a host but the bees can't get under there so the mites die. The screening to use is hardware cloth # 8 size ( or 8x8 ) Good luck

The window screen will ONLY work for your hive top feeder you need ,as drobbins and busyguy said, #8 (8 squares to the inch) hardware cloth for your screened bottome boards.
