I installed a package of bees on April 18th. So it's been around a month, and my queen is not productive. I am planning to requeen the hive tomorrow. Since my bees are already at least 30 days old, will there be any bees left to rear new brood?

Also, how long between removing the old queen and installing the new cage should I wait?

Yes there will, I generally pinch the old queen a day before installing a new one, but a few hours is fine. I have even done it immediately with no problem.

If you find the old queen, put her in a small bottle with achahol, smarsh her with a pencil eraser. Save her for bait traps.
