Hey, I have been feeding my bees so i can get them to build the brood nest faster and their is now lots of pollen in my area. I am wanting to do a couple splits out of my 5 hives but, I have 2 that are stronger and would like to get honey from. My Question is when should I stop feeding them so they don't use the sugar water to make honey. The Honey flow starts mostly around the first couple weeks of May.

dont feed unless they are starving. you will make them want to swarm by backfilling the brood nest. This time of year they shouldn't need feed.
