I just started a 8 frame hive in June and had to
requeen three weeks later who is at this time doing
a great job. Now when should I requeen again, this
fall or next spring say February or let her go until
September/October 2007???
They usually fail at three years if you don't have chemicals in the hive (Checkmite and Fluvalinate in particular). They usually fail in about six months if you do.
Most of my queens are two years old several are three and sometimes a few are four.
