My bees wintered real well with 2 deeps. Here is the good problem. They only went through 2 1/2 frames of stores. Almost all the frames now have either capped sugar water or uncapped. What do I do with all this excess in the bottom and top box?
The bees will really start to eat through stores now that they are brooding up. I would take a wait and see aproach with the left over stores. You could also split the hive and divide up the stores between two or three splits.
Seems to me that you're very lucky. They should turn all those stores into new bees! Watch them, prepare for swarm prevention... as suggested, plan on splits? I wish I had your problem - I do in one hive... You might consider adding another box, and checkerboarding.
