I was checking on one of my hives last week and found the population is way lower than expected and that ants were coming in and out of the hive and attacking bees in the entrance. I've had my hives at this location for 4 years and never seen anything like this. Any Suggestions?

Have a lot of ants too in my yard too. I took 4 frisbees...(one for each leg)...put em underneath the leg and filled it with oil. (used/new doesnt matter...I have plenty of used oil lying around) anyway....this creates a barrier that the ants cant cross. make sure theres not any blades of grass they can use as a ladder. THAT IS if you have legs on your stands. I understand some use cinder blocks in which case another method would be used. Generally calls for oil or vaseline barrier that the ants cant cross.
