This is a queen from one of my hives. I had bought her from the same place I got my nucs from when I first started this season. I suspect this is a typical italian queen?

I've got an outside feeder and this one landed and stuck around this evening:

Is this a russian or carniolan? I've had other bees come and go as well. One was black with stripes, which I thought was the carniolan?

My original queen from one of my nucs I bought this year does not look like the first picture. She is all brown and no stripes. Is this a cordovan?

...just trying to get my bearing straight on bee species!

that worker just lost all her hair, so she looks black now. Queen is probably a hybrid carni/Italian, you never know just by looking at them.

Awww...that poor girl has given her ALL! Poor thing!! Looks like a true Carni to me...Never seen a queen look more like a black widow spider as a Carni queen....Never seen such a solid black worker, either...Poor thing with tattered wings has sure given it her best!!!
