What my Bee's love in Ca.
New Beekeeper in Sanger Ca. Started with 2 nucs into 8 frame deeps, that went well but 1 week later a farmer saw i had Bees and asked if I wanted 2 more hives 
when my wife and I went to pick them up they were in his junkyard had been sitting there abandoned for at least 5 years. The colonies were strong but the foundations were all warped and the boxes ( 4 deeps 6 mediums ) were split and rotting with mouse holes. So my wife and I have been putting in new foundation and making boxes.
We have lots of wild flowers and a Catfish bluegill pond so the bees should be happy
