I was trying to figure out what would be a good pollen substitute/supplement for early spring feeding to build up the bees quickly.

There seem to be a lot of options.

Megabee, Megabee patties, Broodbuilder, Broodbuilder with Honey B Healthy, and so forth.

Plus, many homemade recipes out there.

Any suggestions about what will be readily taken by the bees and works well?

TIA.

Have used soy flour placed in my kids' saucer sleds. Inexpensive and the kids and I enjoyed watching the bees carry away the flour. Seemed to work well in building up the hives during early spring. OMTCW

Use the search tool on this forum. Tons of discussion about all sorts of pollen patty formulas and pollen subs including those you can make at home. I make my own.
