okay so this hive hadnt done a lot last year the whole hive consists of about 3-4 frames they are working on

I didnt expect them to make it thru winter yet somehow they did!

I inspected last week and saw eggs laid in the centers and only one per cell

they remain at 4 frames so far and I put a hivetop feeder on

they have yet to take any food

what can I do to help these bees get going?

If you can give them a frame of capped brood it would give them a jump. I once had a hive in a shady spot in the yard that was slow to feed and build up.

Is there any pollen stored in the hive? Is the feeder directly above the cluster or is there a super between the cluster and the feeder? Is there any capped brood/larva or just eggs?
