I'm running SBB with oil pans on several of my hives to control SHB - which works pretty good. Anyway, I'm seeing a fair number of 3/4" wax moth larva dead in the oil - a dozen or so each - but I don't really see any damage when I do inspections. Is this a problem or just a normal level of infestation? What do I need to do?
Check the frames and crevices of the super better. they are growing up somewhere in the hive. Small hive beetle larva are smaller than wax moth, you might be seeing SHB.
