Has anyone had any experience with just getting hot wax and some sort of brush and painting the outside of the hive for weather protection? Would you need to do this on the inside?
I know larger-scale beekeepers use a rosin-wax mixture and dip their hives in that. However, that wouldn't be feasible for me.
