Anyone have firsthand comparisons between these queens? Am looking for hygenic bees to introduce into my operation and these are options right now.

I have heard from a few other TX beeks that the MN Hygenics don't like the hotter-than-heck weather we get here in the South in the summer, although I have not used them myself.

I use R and B Weavers and like them both. Also like the Rossman bees. In three years, the weather has been as much or more an issue than the sorts of bees. Dry, dry, dry!

Try Ray Oliveras in Chico and also Big Island Queens as he owns them as well. I've been really happy with his hygenic stock this year. A few of them got moved from my home yard to an out-yard for temperment but it wasn't all that bad (my kids run right in front of my hives at home, I'm picky about temperment here). Other than that they have been superb stock. :)
