I have another question regarding nuc hives I'm assembling.

The lids I have on my nuc hives are migratory lids. (a plywood top on a 40mm rim). I was asked whether I wanted vents on the top when I ordered them.

On my other hives I do not have any vents on the top as believe they are detrimental for the bees. Should same apply on nucs hives? I am assuming yes but I better ask what you great people think about this.

Yes, 5-frames they are mate. They will be of course temporary homes and if the nucs take a while to sell I'll move them to 8-frame boxes. Wasn't sure the added vents will be helpful or not for the time they'll be in my yard waiting for a new owner.

Thanks again mate.
