Couple quick questions about using queens for swarm lure:

1) I have one dead queen in a jar of alcohol. I have a second dead queen - should I put her into the same jar as the first, or in a separate jar of alcohol? Does it matter?

2) The queen has been sitting on my workbench a few days now...is it too late to put her in a jar of alcohol? She's probably drying up so would pheremones still be present?

Thanks!

Put her in the same jar.

Yes. You want to end up with some concentrated lure.

The sooner the better, but there is no time like the present.

Less all the time, but yes. I've seen bees paying attention to queens who have been dead some time.
