Shouldn't be hard. Dogs have a good smeller. Bet they could be trained to indicate on nasonov or qmh or whatever. An active hive should be full of such smells and dogs can smell for some distance. They do it for human low blood sugar, and to find drugs and explosives... How hard should it be for bees?

I don't doubt it. About a year ago there was a discussion here about dogs trained to smell efb/afb. I recall Michael Palmer saw them in action. Dogs = Man's Best Friend. J
