Has anyone made Ultrabee patties using syrup made with Drivert sugar?

Im wondering, if using Drivert, would vegetable oil still be needed to prevent patties from drying out and getting hard?

thanks

its just a lower quality of sugar isnt it? Most likely same results as normal sugar for patties

It’s finely ground cane sugar with 8% inverted sugar added to help retain moisture. As I understand it, at least. Popular with bakers for frostings, fondant etc.

Ill just need to make a small test batch.

I seem to remember an old thread on pollen sub ingredients suggesting that the corn oil content was a very valuable asset nutrient wise as well as keeping it soft and accessible to the bees. Both Michael Palmer and Tennessee Bees have recipes posted.
