A reply to one of my postings some time back suggested using turpentine as part of a mixture to use in the treatment of hive bodies.

If I try anything it will be the paraffin and rosin mixture.

I haven't had any reason to use turpentine for many years, and I'm glad. I've worked with a lot of paint systems and solvents (some would suggest too many ), and I find the smell of turpentine to be as disagreeable or worse than many.

Even after several months of off-gassing, I would think that more vapors would be emitted in the heat of summer...
