I live in Northeast Ohio Pa to the east and Lake Eire to the North. We have a lot of woods, and many tuliptrees. I am just wondering if anyone has had Tuliptree honey?

If you are speaking of Tulip Poplar yes we have it and it is flowing full on right now. I expect to harvest some this summer once it dries up. My understanding is that it is of the darker variety. G

So Sweet, I just had to restock my bees, and they are booming so far with wild flowers blooming and my apples. I read that they will bloom about early Jume and bloom for a month. I have lots on my farm and even one just down the road that is huge.
Have you ever tasted it?

No I understand it is a stronger tasting honey than say the clovers. This is just my second year so this will be my first harvest. I know that the beekeepers around here harvest alot of Poplar honey every spring and people seem to love it. If I could post a picture I would show you the color I just dont know how to get the pics up. G
