Good day to all. I am preparing to treat my hives with oxalic vapor but i need to feed a couple hives that have insufficient stores for the winter. Is it ok (harmless) to leave the sugar syrup on the hive while I perform the vapor treatment?

Oxalic acid dribble is considered to be fairly innocuous, so I can't imagine that feeding during OAV would be harmful.

Not a problem. Be relentless in killing mites. All of mine got a long series in August but I may do a one off cleanup this weekend. I feed a sugar slurry throughout winter in 6a.
