Hi - looking for people's thoughts. I started two deep nucs in early July with mated Queens. They are building up slowly and I'm feeding them constantly. Not a lot of bees in either but lots of brood in development. Really not enough bees to do a mite shake.
In any event, I have Apivar strips available and can treat them next week but is that overkill?
Honestly I would prefer not to treat as that would allow me to transfer partially filled medium frames from another full hive I will be treating.
