I just finished sealing the insides of mine with that food-grade epoxy-polyester resin Brushy Mountain sells. I have no idea how it will work ... ask again in a year.

The feeder joints were sealed with silicone, and I have no doubt that the epoxy-polyester won't seal to that worth a darn.

Update on the epoxy-polyester sealer. I applied two coats about a day apart. 4 days later the "fresh varnish" smell is still easily detected. I'm hoping it is gone before the nucs arrive, but they're due any day now, and we're expecting them to arrive hungry. I'm wishing my wife had let me order this stuff a month earlier when I first suggested it. Curing would be further along.
