I have the reddish brown plastic top feeder with the white plastic screen on either side and have used them for about 3 yrs. I wanted to clean them up and tried to remove the white screen in order to do a better job only to have the white screen shatter into unusable pieces. Anyone else had this happen? Any cheap fix? So far I broke two of the three I have. I know, I know I just could not believe it happened the first time so I tried it one more, but i'm not doing it a third time....Yeah I probably will.

Try to "solder" the pieces together with a soldering gun and strips of plastic cut from milk jugs...

I'm not familiar with you're feeder, but could you use #8 hardware cloth to replace or repair you're screen.

Mine are black ABS plastic with hardware cloth screen.

A hot glue gun might help with either fixing the broken pieces or attaching the wire cloth.
