This video shows how to finish the body of the hive. We drill the entrance holes, add the screen to the bottom, trim follower boards, and attach the legs. At this point bees can go in the hive with any waterproof cover over the top bars. In Part 6 we will make a fitted cover.

Thank you for the kind words here and on your blog as well. Don’t wait for me and Part 6 since you don’t need a formal cover to start keeping bees in the hive. I used plywood with ¾ inch spacers underneath and held it down with a couple of bricks. But, I will try to get the last video done as soon as possible. Thanks again and above all have fun.
