I have just found my largest hive with out a queen upon inspection , it turned out to be an in depth inspection and still nothing and no other queen cells found either and of course no young brood. A little earlier we were inspecting a new hive looking to see if a new queen had hatched and we did see her along with another capped cell , my question is this how long will I have to wait to install a queen cell , if she is still alive, to a queenless hive.

Within 2 hours most all of the bees in a hive will know that the queen is missing. I'd put the queen cell in immediately before the newly emerged queen destroys that queen cell. If you don't have a cell, put in a frame of eggs/very young larva from another hive so they can make queen cells themselves.
