Today was a warm day here in southern Maine and the bees were flying hard so I took the opportunity to open them up and see "the state of the bees". Still a good supply of honey, blood and a few eggs. Lots of bees were bringing in lots of yellow pollen, full baskets. Where is that coming from? two or so weeks ago the pollen was light gray and sparse. spring is early, the peepers and wood frogs have been singing for a week.

Mine are bringing in yellow pollen as well. In my case, I think it is willow. Maples and apples also have yellow pollen.
Maple seems the best bet here
