Just ask Google -- define:SSB

Star Selector B Assembly; a four-mirror optical group used to pilot the collimated beam through the filter assembly and onto the polarizing beamsplitter; along with the SSA, defines and locates the IFOV aperture.

Something that no beekeeper should be without.

Another useful device is the SBB or Screened Bottom Board.

Here's a parial glossory of bee abbreviations:
AFB - American Foulbrood (nasty bacteria that makes spores that live forever)
EFB - Europeon Foulbrood (nasty bacteria but it is not spore forming and you can get rid of it)
AHB - Africanized Honey Bee (the ones from Brazil that have migrated their way to Texas)
FGMO- Food Grade Mineral Oil (used for Varroa and tracheal mites)
SBB - Screened Bottom Board (used for ventilation and to get rid of Varroa mites.)
TBH - Top Bar Hive (like your uncle has without the hoops.)

Local feral survivors in eight frame medium boxes.

What does IIRC mean? I see it all of the time in other places and I just can't figure it out. I'm sure it is obvious, but not to me!
