We are building a new honey house and money is getting short. We are moving our equipment from the location where we bought it from. That bee keeper used a couple of blue plastic tubs with a pipe between them. I am thinking about doing the same thing, but building a stainless steel tank this winter.
First question, could I use a Rubbermaid structural foam water tank for a sump to get through this season?
I am asking because it is not a food grade plastic.
Second question, any suggestions for a temporary sump? We are putting in a restroom, stainless steel sinks, hot water heater, proper lights, everything an apiary inspector would want to see, but the sump.
I can tig weld, so I can build my own sump. I just don't have time and my equipment is in another state.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
