It says you give the customer/host a large portion of the honey, but it does not say how much they pay you? There is a woman in Maine that wants to put top bar hives on peoples property, they get a pound of honey and pay $500.

Honestly I'm not sure why Seth said "a large portion of honey". Hosters will receive a small percentage of the honey produced by the hive on their property. We don't charge because we take the lion's share to sell and supply a couple restaurants with.

It's a nice way of getting around the limitations the county places on beekeeping in urban areas. By placing multiple hives at other properties we
are able to expand.

Yes, my smoker is very clean...it's new.
