how do you store syrup before using it? freeze it?

We mix it up as we go by recirculating a waste pump into a 300 gal tote. We need to empty the tote in a coupla days in this heat. Our current system is far to labor intensive for us and we need to switch to HFCS syrup since it can sit around almost indefinitely (or so we hear).
