I have 4 medium supers with bottom boards and entrance reducers. I don't have tops for them, but what I was thinking of doing was screwing down a piece of plywood to the top. I have 40 frames of drawn comb to use in these boxes and some lemongrass oil. Will this setup work and are medium supers big enough to use? Also with using entrance reducers what size hole should I leave open for them?

Thanks,
Dan

Should work just fine. I'd leave an entrance of up to 2 inches and fill the rest with an entrance reducer. They like their cavities dark. The smell of the comb with lemon grass oil will draw in any nearby swarms like,... well, bee's to honey.

I've done that but ended up painting the top and putting 1"x1" on 2 sides so the plywood doesnt warp like mine did the 1st time. Works fine! Good luck
