Man it's hard waiting for spring! Nice video. Looking forward to seeing the results, hopefully in a day or two max!

This is soooo cool, what a lovely way for me to spend a coffee break in -24C winter weather. Watching a live stream of bees, thanks.
Here are my 3 established hives:

Could you put a thermometer at this hive location?

Would be helpful to know when it is warm enough for the bees to be flying.

Instead of a thermometer I'm just pulling data from openweather.org, but I have it overlaid on the video now. The livestream also is a lot more reliable now that I've switched the cameras from h.264 to h.265. Later, after the swarm moves in and I swap in the box with the Raspberry Pi attached for the time lapse, I'll also be able to read the temp/humidity sensor and overlay that data as well.

If one were looking only at the outside camera today, you might think the swarm has already moved in!! But nope; still just scouts. Lots of scouts, but just scouts:

Good view. I would worry though, about them drawing wild comb where there are no frames, since it's the entrance side of the hive box. I think it would be better to have the empty space on the side away from the entrance. But I see why you did it this way, it's a great view! Time will tell how it works out, but for now it's just Awesome!
