How long does swarm season usually last? I know the first swarms have already been cast, but about when is it time to pull in the traps for the year? When's the latest to expect a swarm?

I don't know when the main seasons ends when you live, but bees can swarm almost anytime plants are blooming. There are a lot more swarms in the spring after the apples bloom, many people where I live say.

If the hive gets over crowded they can swarm.

I think last year the latest call was September. Swarm season is when its "warm season" when bees are busy and as previously stated when things are blooming. In our area most swarms coincide with the major blooms, but as long as those queens are layin and the foragers are flyin, its swarm season.
