I started two long medium hives from swarms about a week apart. The first one is going gang busters! The second is not doing as well. Opened it up today, only 5 frames with a mix of OLD brood, capped honey, nector, etc.; what I did not find was the queen, eggs or larva. Don't know what happened?So I went to an off site swarm hive in 3 standard mediums (they are also going nuts), I found a frame in the bottom with several queen cells (1 capped and 2 with larva) took it and put in the poor long. Did I screw-up or just another learning experience:scratch: O the off site hive is about 2 1/2 weeks older.
