My gf caught a swarm, most likely from her hive Saturday. Got them into the 5 frame nuc I had built for her in case that happened. Went over yesterday, screened them in for the night and got them hived in their final location this morning

They are foundationlesss and had a 4x4 piece of comb built in 1 day. I figure i'll let them draw out a bunch of the first medium until I add another. 9 shaved down frames in an 8 frame med.

I'd leave them alone for a week or better. They may just bug out if you mess with them too much. Tell the GF good catch.

Yep, i put the bit of syrup on and now they get to sit for a while.

yes and no. I had a q tip with lemongrass oil in it and some melted propolis. But my gf was home when they swarmed and they went into a small tree. she shook them into a bucket and transferred them into the nuc.
