I have one hive that is noticeably stronger than the other. The stronger one is drawing out its second super and the weaker one is really dragging on drawing out the first. Is it ok to swap a super with nectar, honey and bees from the stronger hive with the barely drawn out super on the weaker hive?
Will this cause robbing?
Will it cause a fight?
Will it help the weaker hive?
Is it a good idea?

I should clarify. I am not trying to equalize the hive populations. They are both healthy hives with two deep brood boxes comfortably filled. My intention is really to get supers drawn out as much as possible. These are first year hives and I am hoping that I can get as many supers drawn out and ready for next spring. My thought is that by swapping the supers it would incentivise the weaker hive to get working on drawing out the super by providing some more bees and materials to work with.

Thanks fish_stix, now I know it will not create a problem so, I'll give it a go and see what happens. If the bees just return hone that won't really be an issue.
