That address just prompted me to look up "bee gum." Fascinating! I love words.

bee gum
n. Chiefly Southern U.S.
1. A beehive located in a hollow tree or log.
2. Any beehive.

Got to shop around. I compare BetterBee, Dadant and Brushy Mountain mostly. The last time I ordered frames I got the best deal from Dadant but at 0.55 for a frame Reel's has them beat!

Some of our club member like Ross because of the cedar stock they use.

And now with the price of fuel shipping cost are going up so someplace close might make the better deal.

And all Reel's are fully assembled, and the boxes are painted.

I don't think I would assemble the frames for .55, much less make them, too.

Lazybee,
How close are you to Sandusky?
I'm going there the week of Sept. 10 to visit my daughter. If you are close to there or on the way I might stop by to purchase some foundation.

I like Miller's in Miller's Falls NC. They have good quality stuff at reasonable prices and good service. I haven't tried Reel's yet, but I will. I reallyhate paying freight that costs more than merchandise, but if I order from Dadant, Mann Lake, BetterBee, Western Bee and other far-away suppliers, that's what happens. I recently bought some deep from BeeLine Apiaries in Greencastle PA. They were the inexpensive budget quality and were sound with large red knots,, but they will work fine to enclose hive-top bucket feeders.
