Dadant sells three types of lumber in their boxes and I know that select means no knots, but do any of you use the commercial grade that has a few knots? Do you notice any longevity difference?
Thanks
Mike

I sell Bee equipment, I sell far more Commercial than Select grade. I have a fellow who buys a ton of economy also. All do the job, and all last fairly much equally if cared for properly. It takes a little more time to glue loose knots. and a bit more paint to cover them properly. In the end it seems to boil down to what you have the most of to spare. Time, or Money
