Hi all,

My first year beeking and its going great! i added my 2nd super this morning. Had 2 questions i was wondering if i could get help with

the 7 or 8 out of 10 rule...does that mean built out or filled (brood/honey)?

and what, if any, treatments (against varroa) do you guys do will the supers are on? dont want to contaminate that tasty honey.

Thanks and have a glorious day

Yes 7 or 8 rule of thumb and you may want to switch some of the drawn frames to the outside because that is the last ones they will draw.

NO mite treatments are approved to bee on hives while supers are on.

built out(drawn comb) the idea is to add space BEFORE they need it.
