How many pounds of sugar does it take to make 5 gallons of 1:1 or 3:2 syrup?

That's a lot of syrup. 1:1 = 128oz x 5 = 640oz / 2 = 320oz of sugar. (20lbs of sugar & 2.5 gallons of water). 3:2 = 384oz sugar and 256oz water (24lbs of sugar and 2 gallons of water).

For a 5 gallon bucket I fill it 1/3 full with water. Dump in 20 lbs of sugar and then stir it up. I then fill it the rest of the way with water and stir again. Easy way to do it.
