Probably no way to tell, but is there any way to determine if the cheap sugar from wal mart or aldi's is from beet or cane sugar?

I know of no test a consumer can use to tell if cane or beet sugar is being sold. It makes no difference which is made into syrup, both work for feeding bees.

The cheap sugar from Wal-Mart, their Great Value brand, says pure cane sugar right on the bag. $0.32/# in the 10# bags here in VA.

Our Walmarts were selling at $7.60 for 25# bags but jumped up to $11.46 per 25# bags.That hurts but its still better than the $15 per 25# the other stores around here are getting.
