I have an order of 7 nucs coming (In the next month) and I have placed the hives in position in an open field with the frames and new foundation inside the hive. My concern is wax moths eating through the wax until the bees arrive. My only alternative is to place the frames inside an outdoor storage shed. The reason I have done this is because if I put them in the storage shed, the frames lay on their side (horizontally) and on a hot day it appears the wax droops downward and I'm afraid it will melt. If I keep them in the hive, then they are vertically in position.

My biggest concern is wax moths eating through the wax until the bees arrive. What would you do?
