Hi everyone. Last winter, I had a full dead-out. (I'm chemical-free and the mites won this round.) I bought a single box of bees to start over, harvested the honey and stored the rest of the boxes in my garage. These boxes are a treasure of stored honey, pollen, etc, even though most of the honey was extracted, so it is no wonder that my new hive found them and started raiding. I moved the empty boxes back into the apiary and they are continuing to come and go, emptying out the boxes. I am concerned about other critters finding them and moving in, though. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I do not have a freezer with capacity for freezing the comb.
