I have some stored frames with pollen in them. I've tried the process of washing out the pollen but am not sure if that makes the drawn frames undesirable to the bees. I have usually soaked the frame over night and sprayed out the pollen.

On the other hand: Will the bees just toss out the old pollen if they don't need it? (or use it?) There's lots of pollen coming in now and I'd like to use those frames for new hives.

The bees will clean it out. They will use it if it has utility or haul it out with the trash. Don't over think things. The bees know how to deal with all these things.

What about the frames that I've already washed out? I don't think the bees are using them. What should I do to make them attractive again??
